I ordered a Sage chassis from these guys a while back and got great service. I called them today to ask about upgrading it with a Magpul PRS stock, and the fellow I spoke with was very helpful and courteous.
Avoid using them for Browning service, which is hard since they are the only service center in Canada. I initially thought more of my fellow Albertans, when saw they were part of this hard working province. They were sent a firearm with clear factory QC issue took them 10 weeks to even look at it and then advised it will take another "2 months or so..." to fix, no explanation or ETA nothing but 1 sentence replies. However when asked to ship it back, as I will deal with it myself, they sent it right away that day. Quick to ship out guns not fixed, but 6 months to actually do their job and fix browning manufacturer defects. Avoid this service center and use your local gunsmith.
I have purchased 2 Scopes on 2 different occasions, both times the staff were very accommodating on holding the scopes for me until I was able to travel from Edmonton to Bashaw Sports (1.5 hours each way). The pricing was substantially cheaper than all other retail outlets in Edmonton. I did attempt to get a reduced price on my second scope (no harm in trying) with an Employee who's name was Pud (not sure if this is a nickname) and would not lower the price as he mentioned they are very competitive and fair with the pricing and when the new stock comes in the pricing is going to raise as importing them has increased costs... This shows integrity as a business cause most retailers would just raise the price of their old stock purchased at lower prices to increase profit margins (scope was still $250 cheaper than anywhere else). In my conversation with Pud in regards to the scope, I asked about some 28 Nosler Ammunition as I am finding it hard to get my hands on the caliber. They had none in stock at that time, he did however locate 7 boxes in Eastern Canada for me. I purchased 4 as I didn't want to take all 7 in case someone else was having the same problem as myself. Bottom line is, if you are looking for a great price on a particular product, Bashaw Sports is defiantly worth a call. They also ship at very reasonable cost to save a drive. It may be worth a drive for you though if you have never been in there, you may find something you have been unsuccessful and finding at other locations... NEAT LITTLE STORE with lots of product.
